"JUST NOT READY" Right."JUST NOT READY" Right.

...um, I mean "JUST NOT READY" Right; more like right-wing propaganda.

I won't speak for anyone else, but I've seen enough of the pro-conservative bullshit advertising purporting to inform the Canadian voter about Justin Trudeau's lack of readiness to lead our wonderful country - like our current "leadership" (I use quote marks here with every knowledge of what they impute) has demonstrated anything resembling policies which are good for the people. (The few of which I'm aware are clearly just enough so they appear to be populist.)

Unfortunately, these nasty pieces of misleading - if not outright lying - waste of air time seem to be working. When I suggested to a friend that Trudeau may be an improvement over the existing leadership, he parroted the Tory "he's JUST NOT READY" meme; when pressed, he had no idea of how ready - or not - Justin may be to lead the Canadian people out of the enmired pro-corporate, anti-populist behaviour and agenda the Conservative "leadership" has exhibited and pursued for the past 10 years. (Seems to me that the Conservatives currently in power are mimicking the ultra-right directions into which our neighbours to the south have been heading for the past 15 years. ...along with the attendant deterioration of the condition of the average voter.)

I must say I'm in awe of how these Canadian and American pro-corporate forces have managed to get their agendas accepted by the general populace - despite the clear evidence of their detriment to that same populace.

Shades of "Robocop" anyone? If the current political directions continue in Canada and the US, we will soon see corporatocracies replace our social-oriented democracies; our Constitutions will be replaced by contracts which make us beholden to corporations instead of each other; "of the people, by the people, for the people" will be replaced with "of the corporation, by the corporation, for the corporation". <bleah>
